the men of shadow sit between sparks and bursts of light, flickering and trembling and holding their glow between each player. separate and distinct, the darkness they inhabit grows into them until the two are merely punctuation: an elipsis to the candles sitting silent in between. >>>
they blend into the walls behind, covered in postcards and fliers, words and places, the pictures tiny and mixed until your vision blurs and it's the texture of gravel. the singer is washed out until a flash of teeth ignites in the shadows: a wide smile, honest but misleading. he is not necessarily happy. his heart glides through the notes, and he is no longer himself, but a darkness to the flame he bears.
